Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Year 3 Class

Location: Erdington, Birmingham
Start Date: Beginning of the Academic Year 2024
Contract Type: Full-time

The Role

As an Early Career Teacher for a Year 3 class, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and mutual respect.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student development and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and stay up-to-date with educational best practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • A passion for teaching and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on young learners’ lives.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
