Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Autism (ASC) or social, emotional, and mental health needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Nuneaton.

This role is available for immediate start and offers flexibility in terms of full-time or part-time hours on a long-term basis. At this school, they pride themselves on creating a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Many of the students come to this school with significant gaps in their educational journey, and they are committed to helping them bridge those gaps and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals looking to transition from residential/care settings to the education sector or seeking a new challenge in supporting children and adults with additional needs.

We are looking for a team player with strong behaviour management skills, a solid understanding of classroom dynamics, and a compassionate personality. In this role, you will work closely with individual students and small groups, providing targeted interventions and assistance.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
