Humanities Teacher

Zest Education have the pleasure of working closely with a number of schools in the Burton area area,  these schools are in need of humanities teachers to cover a wide range of roles from day to day, long term and short time placements starting February 2024.

Ideally the successful candidates for this role will have experience teaching across the three disciplines of Geography, History and RE.

This opportunity would allow teacher to work within schools that have a growing reputation for providing students access to a creative and dynamic curriculum. The student body is diverse including some EAL pupils.

The successful applicant will have:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for Humanities and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
