Geography Teacher

Are you a Geography Teacher looking for a better work-life balance? Do you want to be working closer to home? We have the job for you! A secondary school in the Telford area area are recruiting for a full-time geography teacher to start September 2024 for a minimum of one term.

The school supports training and development for all of its staff and is continually looking for strong team players to join their team. This school has a strong focus on developing the life skills of its students through a dynamic and engaging curriculum. The humanities department works collaboratively to plan lessons, organise trips and coordinate the exam period. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Geography and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 – KS5.
  • A team ethos and wanting to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high-quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long-term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
