Maths Teacher

Job Description

Are you in search of a full-time mathematics position? Zest is currently on the lookout for a full-time Maths Teacher to start in January 2025 for a minimum of one term at a highly successful Secondary School in Stoke on Trent.

Recently, the school has made significant investments in infrastructure and resources, enhancing both the physical structure and the quality of teaching. This has enabled students to explore their creative potential and become more actively engaged in their learning.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with the wider maths department to organize lessons and evaluate student work. The school seeks an individual with strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student engagement. Proficiency in Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 is a must, with some familiarity with KS5 being advantageous.

The successful candidate should possess:
– A PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification leading to QTS or QTLS
– A deep passion for Mathematics and solid subject knowledge spanning KS3 and KS4
– A collaborative spirit and a desire to contribute to a supportive team environment
– The ability to prepare, assess, and deliver high-quality lessons (planning and marking responsibilities apply to short/long-term positions only)
