KS3 Geography Teacher

Job Description

Are you a passionate and creative Geography teacher looking for a new opportunity? Zest Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a fantastic Secondary School in the Stoke-on-Trent area. The vacant position is for a full time Geography teacher, starting after October half-term 2024 and continuing, as a minimum, until the Easter holidays.

The school in question is extremely proud to boast a diverse range of students from varied backgrounds, working at varying levels of ability. Existing staff members, including an experienced Headteacher, all share a passion for one common goal: to help every student to unlock their full potential. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of students and receive continuous professional development throughout your supply placement.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate and able to engage and inspire learners of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
– Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons to Key Stage 3 students
– Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners
– Assessing student progress and providing feedback to support their academic growth
– Collaborating with colleagues to create a positive learning environment

Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 level
– Passion for education and a commitment to student success
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
