Job Description

Zest Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a brilliant primary special educational needs school located in Nuneaton. This is a full-time role due to begin ASAP and must be able to work Monday – Friday, 8:30-15:30.

The school is renowned for its inclusive approach, providing specialist education for children aged 2 to 11 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Their aim is to create a caring and supportive environment where all children can thrive and reach their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the development of our students. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing person-cantered, day-to-day support: You will work closely with individual students, as well as in paired and small group settings, to deliver personalised teaching and support sessions. Your patience, consistency, and encouragement will be vital in helping our students progress and achieve their learning goals.
  2. Supporting lesson plans: You will utilise your creativity to prepare materials and resources that align with lesson plans. Your ability to adapt and tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students will be essential in creating an engaging and effective learning experience.

To be considered for this role, you should have previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school, youth work, play, or care setting in the last two years. A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of our students is a must.

In return, we offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative team.

If you are a dedicated and compassionate individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, we would love to hear from you.
