Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Primary School in Erdington, Birmingham
Start Date: September 2024
Position: Teaching Assistant (Full-time)

Are you passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners? Zest are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Year 3 class at a friendly and supportive primary school in Erdington.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide individual and group support to students to enhance their learning experience.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support the development of children’s social and emotional skills.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a safe, tidy learning space.
• Prepare learning materials and resources.
• Participate in school events, outings, and activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
• A genuine passion for working with young learners and helping them succeed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to student development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of the primary school curriculum.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
