Teacher of Music

Job Description

Are you passionate about the importance of Music education? Music has been proven to play a key role in brain development and has a big impact on student’s lives both in and outside of the classroom. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by fostering their creativity and passion for music.

A school in Redditch believes in the importance of Music education and is looking for a dedicated teacher to join their Arts department full-time in September 2024.The school has a wonderful array of musical instruments and facilities for you to utilise and create engaging and exciting lessons.

Key responsibilities:
– Plan and teach engaging lessons that motivate the students in your subject and cater to the needs of diverse learners
– Mark and assess students work and track student progression
– Have excellent curriculum knowledge that continues to develop – particularly the new and engaging ways to teach Music as the subject continues to evolve.
– Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
