English Teacher – Sutton Coldfield

Zest Education are currently looking for an English teacher, to teach across KS3 – KS4, in a large secondary school, in Sutton Coldfield. The role will start in December 2023, this will be for a long term maternity cover,  working part time (0.6). This role is ongoing and has the high potential of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate.

This well established school is located in the vibrant community of Sutton Coldfield. With a strong focus on academic excellence and holistic development, the school creates a supportive and inspiring environment for both staff and students. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources, the school offers a range of extracurricular activities and enrichment programs to enhance students’ learning experience.

Successful candidates will have:

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
• A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
• A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
• The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
• Strong classroom and behaviour management

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
