Job Description

Are you a passionate Music Teacher looking to make a positive impact on young minds? Zest Education is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Music Teacher to join a secondary school in Erdington. This part-time role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire and educate the next generation of musicians.

The role will start in January 2024, working 3 days a week (Monday – Wednesday), for the rest of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons to secondary school students
— Develop and implement a diverse curriculum that meets the needs of all students
– Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and enthusiasm for music
– Collaborate with colleagues to organize school concerts, performances, and events
– Foster a love for music by incorporating a range of teaching methods and strategies
– Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and conducive learning environment

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Music Education
– Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting
– Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum for Music
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills
