Zest Education are recruiting for Sports Coaches to work in the role of ‘Cover Supervisor’ in secondary schools across Staffordshire. Zest Education are the main agency provider to schools in this region and we have an ongoing need to provide staff.
We have opportunities to start September 2024 in a variety of day to day, long term and short term roles .
Our schools are looking for sporty individuals who would like to gain more experience in an educational setting by leading groups of children aged 11-18.
You will need to be a recent University graduate or have a minimum of 20 days experience working with groups of children / young people to be considered. A Cover Supervisor can come from a number of back grounds including youth working, mentors, scout leaders, play group leaders and many others.
The role of a Sports coach cover supervisor is important within schools. You will be expected to supervise both KS3 and KS4 P.E lessons as well as any other general cover lessons the school needs you to. Cover supervisors oversee and carry out pre-planned lessons when teaching staff are on short-term absence. In a PE setting this will involve maintaining health and safety standards at all times whilst ensuring students are having fun undertaking physical exercise in lessons.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
