History Teacher

Zest Education are looking to recruit a History teacher to work with a high performing school in the Telford area. This school is ideally looking for a full-time History teacher, but part time may be considered for the right candidate to start September 2024.

The school are very pupil focused and spend a large majority of their time making sure the pupils are enjoying the environment they are in. The school believe this it is best way to get the most out of the pupils and that is why the school are highly creative and innovative to make sure they are always improving.

The successful applicant will be expected to plan and deliver engaging history lessons whilst maintaining a positive learning environment. Additionally, the successful applicant will be joining an incredibly supportive and hardworking departmental team

The ideal candidate should have:

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
• A strong passion for the subject of History and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but is not a necessity)
• A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
• The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
• Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
